Personnel Vision Statement
The Zachary Community School Board, through the Personnel Department, shall strive to hire only highly qualified teachers and personnel that will be committed to providing the best possible education for ALL students in the Zachary Community System.

Personnel Mission Statement
The Zachary Community School Board, through the Personnel Department, shall establish a school environment that will attract and maintain the best qualified employees whose mission shall be to provide high-quality learning opportunities for the students enrolled in the Zachary Community School System.

Overview
The personnel department provides the “person power” for the system to function. This office initiates the selection process to hire the best-qualified personnel to match job requirements. This department assists employees (certified and classified) in matters related to leaves, retirements, certification, transfers and associated paperwork. Certificated employees are those whose position description requires a valid Louisiana Teacher’s Certificate. Classified employees are not required to hold a valid Teacher’s Certificate. Official personnel records are developed and maintained by this department. Problems encountered by employees relative to personnel matters are resolved through the efforts of the person in this department.

Personnel Department
Yolanda Williams
Personnel Director

Yolanda Williams is responsible for the daily operation of the personnel department including insurance and risk management for the school district. She is responsible for staffing and personnel accountability including LaTAAP, Teacher Quality, and Educational Leader Induction. Yolanda has been in the field of education for over 10 years. She has Bachelors of Secondary Education in Mathematics and a Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision. In the past she has served as a middle and high school mathematics teacher, School Improvement Education Program Coordinator with the Louisiana Department of Education and Title I Instructional Coordinator.

Cindy Todd
Secretary


Cindy Todd is responsible for processing all newly-hired employees, including employment verification and assisting teachers with their applications for teaching certificates. She assists with leaves of absences and answers your questions about retirement benefits. Additionally, she helps you complete all necessary paperwork in preparation for retirement. Moreover, she coordinates position openings for all non-teaching positions and assists the personnel director. In the past she has served as Executive School Secretary.
