Related Services - corrective and other supportive services that are required to assist a disabled student in benefiting from special educational services. These services, such as speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, interpreter, audiological services, counseling, and special transportation, are provided to students who meet eligibility requirements. Additionally, medical needs are supervised by nurses.
Adapted Physical Education (APE) - is provided for students exhibiting motor problems who require special, individualized instruction. In order to receive APE, students must be eligible for services as a disabled student and meet specific eligibility requirements.
General Service Provisions - Special education service is specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs of an eligible student. Elementary and secondary programs utilize various organizational structures, including regular classes with supplemental aids and services, self-contained classes, resource rooms, combination self-contained/resource rooms, inclusion settings, and itinerant services.
