Northwestern Elementary 2007 Accountability Results

Northwestern Elementary School:
Northwestern Elementary had a 2006 “Baseline School Performance Score” of 111.3.  The “Baseline School Performance Score” consisted of Northwestern Elementary School’s Attendance data as well as the 3rd grade iLEAP scores from Zachary Elementary School (since Northwestern Elementary does not have any testing grades at its school).  Northwestern Elementary School had a Growth Target of 2.0 which means that the school was expected to grow from 111.3 to at least 113.3 on their 2007 “Growth School Performance Score.”  Northwestern Elementary School actually achieved a 2007 “Growth School Performance Score” of 119.5.  This means that Northwestern Elementary School grew 8.2 points!  This classifies Northwestern Elementary School as an “Exemplary Academic Growth” school and they will receive rewards money from the Louisiana Department of Education for their tremendous growth.
The new 2007 “Baseline School Performance Score” for Northwestern Elementary School is 116.1.  This score includes Northwestern Elementary School’s Attendance data as well as 3rd grade iLEAP scores for the past 2 years from Zachary Elementary School.  Northwestern Elementary School has a 2008 Growth Target of 2.0 which means they are expected to grow from 116.1 to at least 118.1 when School Performance Scores are released again at this time next school year.  We are very proud of the academic performance of the Northwestern Elementary students and we look forward to great scores again next school year!
