About Our Schools
The Zachary Community Schools operate in a grade center concept. By the time of graduation a student will have attended all four of the schools in the district. Students begin at Northwestern Elementary School. This school serves students in grades PreK through 1. Students then move on to Zachary Elementary for 2nd and third grade with Principal Jennifer Marangos. They then move to Copper Mill Elementary with Principal Dewey Davis for 4th and 5th grade.. Middle school students attend Northwestern Middle. Grades 6-8 reside on the campus under the leadership of Debby Brian. Kevin Lemoine is principal of Zachary High School, the district's only high school.
The District serves the needs of all students with top notch academics and a wide range of extracurricular offerings. Zachary High School has Honors, Advanced Placement and Gifted Curriculums. The schools have comprehensive athletic programs for boys and girls as well as extensive music and dramatic arts activities.
