More than 110 students ranging from 1st through 6th grade will participate in the Zachary Community School District International Summer Camp and Cultural Exchange July 12-15. The students will be immersed in language and/or art classes including German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, French, Spanish and African. In addition to the high school language teachers, the district has enlisted the assistance of various Louisiana State University instructors to provide students with this exceptional opportunity. Each student will enroll in three courses ranging from Japanese wood block printing and German language and culture to Chinese language and calligraphy. Courses will be held at Zachary Elementary.
