Members Present: Mrs. Coleman, Mr. Davis, Mrs. Horton, Mrs. Kimmell, Mr. Leggett,Mr. Moore, Mr Snowden, Mr. Young, Mrs. Womack and Dr. Brady

The regular meeting of the Zachary Community School Board was held May 10, 2001 at 7 P.M. at the Zachary Community School Board Office.

The invocation was given by Mr. Davis.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mrs. Horton

Roll Call was taken. 9 present, 0 absent

There was a motion made by Mr. Moore to approve the minutes of the April 26, 2001 meeting as written, seconded by Mrs. Coleman.

President Hal Leggett spoke to the board about the Zachary Community School Board Committee worksheet that was given to each board member. He instructed the board to study the sheet and decide what needs to be met on and what area they would like to be assigned. He also told them to get outside help and ideas for these committees. Dr. Leggett asked the board to have suggestions on these topics at the next board meeting.

Dr. Glenn Brady gave his superintendent report. He told the board that he had met with the State Department his week and they gave us a tentative agreement. He also said that he has established an email with each one /our schools and he is working on a web site for our school board office. Dr. Brady explained to the board about looking into software for our school's computer system. Dr. Brady asked the board to be thinking about organizing a long range planning committee.

Mrs. Young made the motion to put on the agenda for the next board meeting, handing out the Official Statements that Governor Mike Foster sent to his appointed board members. Mr. Moore seconded the motion.

Mr. Moore made the motion, to put on the agenda, to ask Mr. Prescott to come out and go over the policy manual. Mrs. Young seconded it.

Mrs. Coleman made the motion to adjourn and Mrs.1 Womack seconded the motion.
