Dr. Brady gave his superintendent report. He went over with the board some things that were happening in the school board office. He told the board that Exxon Mobil had just donated-2 computers to our office and that he has been busy getting together the necessary papers with the CPA and Department of Labor. Also he was waiting on July 15, 2001 for the Formal Objections with Documentation
Mr. James Prescott, Jr. of Forethought Consulting, Inc. went over with the board the policy manual. He told the board that the policy manuals will change frequently to reflect new state and federal legislation and court decisions. He said that they would keep the manual updated when rules change. Mr. Prescott said that our policy manual covers about 99.9 percent of subjects that we need to operate on. We are safe with this policy manual and it will give the administrators little flexibility to handle day to day problems.
President Hal Leggett told the board that he would like for his Champions to study various areas of the policy manual and take to the next level to make Zachary schools-even better. He also wanted to add on the agenda for the next board meeting, committee reports. He told the board that it would be a good idea to get resumes from the people that are working on the committees This way we would have a record of that person and also Judge Parker will see that people throughout our community are on these committees.
Mr. Chip Moore asked the board if he could add on the agenda for next board meeting, the discussion of advertising the school board in the Zachary football program guide.
Mrs. Coleman made the motion to adjourn and Mrs. Horton seconded it.
