Members Present: Mr. Davis, Mrs. Horton, Mrs. Kimmell, Dr. Leggett, Mr. Moore, Mrs. Womack, Mrs. Young, and Dr. Brady.

The regular meeting of the Zachary Community School Board was held on July 12, 2001 at 7:00 P.M. at the Zachary Community School Board office.

The Invocation was given by Mr. Davis. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mrs. Womack.

Roll was taken: 7 Present, 2 Absent. (Mrs. Coleman and Mr. Snowden)

Mrs. Kimmell made the motion to approve the minutes of June 28, 2001 meeting and Mrs. Womack seconded it.

VOTE: 7 YEAS, 0 NAYS

Dr. Brady gave his superintendent report. He briefed the board on the current items that were taking place in the school board office. He also talked about the East Baton Rouge School Board meeting that took place on July 10, 2001.

The Champions gave the board their reports. Each committee has been busy gathering information and getting people to serve on their committees. Dr. Leggett told the Champions that they were all on the right track and keep the public involved. He also told them that each committee needed to make a timetable and to stay on it.

Mr. Chip Moore explained to the board about the Zachary football program guide and how the Zachary Community School Board could 've advertised in it. The board went into a discussion about it and decided that this would be a good thing to do. The board members would pay for this ad themselves and Mr. Moore could give Coach Prejean a sketch of how the ad should look. Mrs. Womack made the motion to put the ad in the Zachary football program guide and Mrs. Kimmell seconded it. VOTE: 7 YEAS, 0 NAYS

Dr. Brady told the board that he would have his Expert Witness report ready for the next board meeting.

Dr. Leggett told the Champions to have their reports ready for the next board meeting.

Mrs. Young made the motion to adjourn and Mr. Moore seconded it.
