Members Present: Mr. Davis, Mrs. Horton, Mrs. Kimmell, Dr. Leggett, Mrs. Womack, Mr. Snowden, Mrs. Coleman, Mrs. Young and Dr. Brady.

The regular meeting of the Zachary Community School Board was held on July 26, 2001 at 7:00 P.M. at the Zachary Community School Board office.

The Invocation was given by Mr. Davis. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mrs. Kimmell.

Roll was taken: 8 Present, 1 Absent. ( Mr.Moore)

Mrs. Kimmell made the motion to approve the minutes of July 12, 2001 meeting and Mrs. Womack seconded it.

Vote: 8 YEAS -0 NAYS

Dr. Brady gave his superintendent report. He went over with the board the tables of East Baton Rouge Comparisons---Projected MFP FY 2002 with projections forBaker and Zachary. He explained to the board how the State Department of Education determines the amount of MFP money each school district receives. He also told the board that our district number is 68.

The Champions gave the board their reports. All of the committees have been busy gathering information. Dr. Leggett urged the Champions to meet in the board office with their committees and to stay on the timetable.

Mrs. Gaynell Young asked the board to put on the agenda for the next board meeting the Policy Alert on Bullying and Fighting.

Mrs. Lynda Coleman told the board that she would give a report on the Grants that she has applied for.

Dr. Brady told the board that he would have copies of the filing made by East Baton Rouge Parish and Mr. Shows would go-n3zer it with us.

Mrs Coleman made the motion to adjourn and Mrs. Young seconded it. Vote 8 Yeas 0 Nays.
