Members Present: Mrs. Coleman, Mr. Davis, Mrs. Horton, Mrs. Kimmell, Dr. Leggett, Mr. Moore, Mr. Snowden, Mrs. Womack, Mrs. Young and Dr. Brady

The regular meeting of the Zachary Community School Board was held on October 11, 2001, at the Zachary Community School Board Office.

The Invocation was given by Mrs. Young. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Davis.

Roll was taken: 8 Present, 1 Absent (Mr.Snowden) Mr. Snowden arrived at 6:55, he was not notified that the meeting would start at 6:45 instead of 7:00 P.M.

The Zachary Chamber of Commerce President Betty Yoes and Executive Director Lisa Rioux presented a check to the Zachary Community School Board for $5000.00. Mrs. Yoes told the board members that the Chamber of Commerce supports the Zachary Community School Board 100% . The school board members thanked Mrs. Yoes and Mrs. Rioux for the large donation .

Dr. Leggett talked to the board about the golf tournament on Oct. 22 at the Magnolia Creek Golf Course in Ethel. He said that they had 9 teams signed up so far and he wanted a tat 1 of 18 teams. He thought that we would net between $4000.00 and $6000.00 on the golf tournament. Also, he told the board that we would have a Community Board Meeting on November 15, 2001. This meeting will be at the Zachary High School and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.

Mrs. Coleman told the board that, the "streetszareep" raffle Saturday, October 13, 2001, from 9 till 12 at Main and Lee streets and on La .64 in front of Wal Mart. She told the board to wear red shirts and blue jeans and to bring book she also welcomed volunteers to help out.

Mr. Moore told the board that he was planning on selling lunches one day in November. He did not know what he would be serving.

Mr. Moore made the motion to approve the minutes of September 27, 2001 and Mrs. Horton seconded it.

Dr. Brady spoke to the board about the Washington trip. He told the board that Mayor Womack, Jesse Spears, Carl Snowden, Lonny Myles and himself went to Washington D.C. and it went off really well. He said, that he is now getting the information all organized and that he would begetting in touch with Dr. Rankin soon He, a1so, told the board that the Justice Department has sent down more questions that they had and he is working on answering them. Dr. Leggett praised the men and said he was proud of them to do that for the Zachary Community School Board.

The Champions all gave their getting information together. Mrs. Kimmell said that the Employee Benefits Committee would meet in the next week or two, Thursday and Danny Davis said that his Personnel Committee would also meet next Thursday. Mrs. Young told the board that she received a new and would September meeting.

Mr. Davis talked to the board about the Zachary Community School Board budget. He said that we needed to go on and set up the would into that mores. He also told the board that he would have a financial statement for them at each board meeting.

Next board meeting the board and Fundraisers. They also wanted to discuss the agenda for the November 15, Community Meeting. Dr. Brady told the board that Attorney Shows and report.

Mrs. Coleman made the motion to adjourn and Mrs. Womack seconded it.
