Members Present: Mrs. Coleman, Mr. Davis, Mrs. Horton, Mr. Johnson, Mrs. Kimmell, Mr. Moore, Mrs. Womack, Mrs. Young and Mr. Drake, Superintendent. Also present, Connie Aslin, Board Secretary, Lonny Myles and Stacy Naquin, Board Attorneys.

The special meeting of the Zachary Community School Board was held on March 20, 2003 at the Zachary School Board Office.

The meeting was called to order by Chip Moore, President of the Board. The Invocation was given by Mrs. Young and the Pledge of Allegiance by Lonny Myles.

Roll was taken: 8 Present (1 Absent) ( Carl Snowden)

Mrs. Womack made the motion to approve the Minutes of March 13, 2003 and Mr. Davis seconded the motion. VOTE: 8 YEAS 0 NAYS (1 Absent)

Mr. Moore told the board that the YMCA before and after school care contract is ready to be voted on. Mrs. Coleman made the motion to approve the YMCA before and after school care contract and Mrs. Horton seconded the motion. VOTE: 8 YEAS 0 NAYS (1 Absent)

Mr. Moore told the board that the Drug Policy is ready to be voted on. Mr. Moore wanted to thank the Board Attorneys, Lonny Myles and Stacy Naquin for all of their work that has gone into it. Mr. Johnson made the motion to approve the Drug Policy and Mrs. Kimmell seconded the motion. VOTE: 8 YEAS 0 NAYS (1 Absent)

Mrs. Coleman made the motion to adjourn and Mr. Davis seconded the motion. VOTE: 8 YEAS 0 NAYS (1 Absent)
