ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES

The regular meeting of the Zachary Community School Board was held on August 9, 2007 at 4700 Main, Zachary, La.

 

The invocation was led by Jannie Rogers.

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Hubie Owen.

 

ROLL: Mrs. Kimmell, Mrs. Young, Mr. Swilley, Mrs. Samuel, Mr. Owen, Mrs. Rogers, Mr. Benda and Mr. Dayton.            ABSENT:  Mr. Snowden

 

MINUTES FOR JULY 26, 2007

 

Mrs. Young moved to approve the minutes for July 26, 2007 and Mrs. Samuel seconded the motion.

 

VOTE: 8 YEAS   0 NAYS   1 ABSENT

 

SUPERINTENDENT REPORT

 

Mr. Drake reported that approximately 200 people attended the Zachary High School Ribbon Cutting today.  All schools will start August 10 and currently have 4,201 students enrolled.  Meet the Broncos will be held on August 21 at 6:30 p.m. and the Ribbon Cutting for the stadium and football field will follow.

 

PERSONNEL MATTERS

 

Mr. Dayton moved to approve Personnel Matters and Mrs. Young seconded the motion

PUPIL PROGRESSION

 

Mr. Dayton moved to approve the 2007-2008 Pupil Progression Packet and Mr. Benda seconded the motion.

 

VOTE:  8 YEAS   0 NAYS   1 ABSENT

 

STANDARD OF PERFORMANCE

 

Mr. Benda moved to approve the Standard of Performance for all employees and Mrs. Samuel seconded the motion.

 

VOTE:  8 YEAS   0 NAYS   1 ABSENT

 

SUSPENSION & EXPULSION POLICIES

 

Mr. Owen moved to approve Suspension  File:JDD and Expulsion File:JDE Policies and Mr. Dayton seconded the motion.
