ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES
September 9, 2010
The regular meeting of the Zachary Community School Board was held on September 9, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at 3755 Church Street, Zachary, la.
The invocation was led by Mr. Dayton.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Joshua Gaithright.
ROLL CALL: Mr. Owen, Mrs. Young, Mr. Swilley, Mrs. Samuel, Mrs. Rogers, Mr. Kelley and Mr. Dayton.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM AUGUST 30, 2010 SPECIAL BOARD MEETING
Mrs. Samuel moved to approve the minutes of August 30, 2010 Special Board Meeting and Mrs. Rogers seconded the motion.
There was no public comment.
VOTE: 7 YEAS 0 NAYS 2 ABSENT
SUPERINTENDENT REPORT
Mr. Drake reported that open house for the school board office went very well. We had around 250 people to attend. We will have a ground breaking for the 9th Grade Academy in a few weeks. The Zachary High School Football Team will play Lafayette Friday night.
RECOGNITION OF BOYS SCOUTS
The Boys Scouts celebrated 100 years of Boys Scouts by attending the Boys Scouts Jamboree. Joshua Gathright presented a power point on the jamboree and the board presented the Boys Scouts with certificates.
Mr. Benda arrived at 6:15 p.m.
SCIENCE TEACHERS PRESENTATION - TAMMY WOOD
Mr. Dayton moved to table the Science Teachers Presentation until September 23, 2010 Board Meeting and Mrs. Samuel seconded the motion.

PERSONNEL MATTERS
Mrs. Rogers move to approve Personnel Matters and Mrs. Samuel seconded the motion.

MYLES COOK AND DAY CONTRACT
Mr. Swilley moved to approve Myles, Cook and Day Contract starting on October 1, 2010 and Mr. Kelley seconded the motion.

RATIFY CHANGE ORDERS
Mr. Swilley moved to approve the ratify change orders for the Construction Contracts beginning July 9, 2009 through July 9,2010 and Mr. Dayton seconded the motion. (See Attached)
