ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES

September 30, 2010

The Special Board meeting of the Zachary Community School Board was held on September 30, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at 3755 Church Street, Zachary, La.

The invocation was led by Mrs. Samuel.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Owen.

ROLL CALL:  Mr. Owen, Mr. Swilley, Mrs. Samuel, Mrs. Rogers Mr. Kelley, and Mr. Benda

3 ABSENT     (Mrs. Young, Mr. Snowden and Mr. Dayton)

APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM SEPTEMBER 23, 2010 BOARD MEETING

Mrs. Rogers moved to approve the minutes from September 23, 2010 Board Meeting and Mr. Kelley seconded the motion.

There was no public comment.

VOTE:     6 YEAS   0 NAYS   3 ABSENT

PUPIL PROGRESSION AMENDMENT

Mr. Kelley moved to approve the Pupil Progression Amendment, the district will apply a mandatory 15 percent weighting of the EOC test to the student’s final semester grade.  The EOC test grade shall be utilized in lieu of or in addition to a teacher-developed semester examination and Mr. Benda seconded the motion.   (See Attached)

Mrs. Samuel moved to adjourn and Mr. Swilley seconded the motion.
