ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES

APRIL 21, 2011

The board meeting of the Zachary Community School Board was held on April 21, 2011, at

6:00 p.m. at 3755 Church Street, Zachary, La.

The Invocation was led by Mrs. Samuel.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Owen.

ROLL CALL:  Mrs. Samuel, Mr. Swilley, Mr. Owen, Mrs. Rogers, Mr. Kelley, and Mr. Dykes 3 Absent  (Mrs. Young, Mr. Mackie and Mr. Dayton)

MINUTES FROM APRIL 14, 2011

Mr. Swilley moved to approve the minutes from April 14, 2011, board meeting and Mr. Kelley seconded the motion.

There was no public comment.

VOTE:    6 YEAS    0 NAYS   3 ABSENT

ACCEPT BID ON NORTHWESTERN MIDDLE SCHOOL GYM AIR CONDITIONING BLEACHERS

Mr. Swilley moved to accept the bid on Northwestern Middle School Gym’s air conditioning and bleachers for $205,700.00  awarded to G M. Builders  and Mr. Dykes seconded the motion.

There was no public comment.

VOTE:    6 YEAS    0 NAYS   3 ABSENT

ADDITIONAL MONEY FOR ADA STREET PROPERTIES

Mr. Swilley moved to allow an additional $32,425.00 which would bring it to a total of $157,425.00 for the purchasing of Lots 1 and 2, Square A and Lot 1, Square B, Northside Subdivision, of the Ada Street Properties and Mr. Kelley seconded the motion.

There was no public comment.
