MINUTES FROM FEBRUARY 23, 2012

Mr. Swilley moved to approve the minutes from the February 23, 2012 meeting.  Mr. Mackie seconded the motion.

SUPERINTENDENT REPORT

Mr. Drake reported that

ADOPTING A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE REVIEW AND TABULATION OF THE SEALED AND ELECTRONIC BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE PURCHASE OF $14,000,000 OF GENERAL OBLIGATION SCHOOL BONDS, SERIES 2012, OF THE ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1, STATE OF LOUISIANA, APPROVING THE OFFICIAL NOTICE OF BOND SALE AND OFFICIAL STATEMENT IN CONNECTION THEREWITH

Mr. Dayton moved to adopt a resolution providing for the reviews and tabulation of the sealed and electronic bids received for the purchase of $14,000,000 of General Obligation School Bonds, Series 2012, of the Zachary Community School District No. 1, State of Louisiana, approving the Official Notice of Bond Sane and Official Statement in connection therewith.  Mrs. Samuel moved to seconded the motion.

ADOPTING A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE LOWEST AND BEST BID RECEIVED FOR THE PURCHASE OF $14,000,000 OF GENERAL OBLIGATION SCHOOL BONDS, SERIES 2012, OF THE ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1, STATE OF LOUISIANA, AND PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH

Mrs. Samuel moved to adopt a resolution accepting the lowest and best bid received for the purchase of Fourteen Million Dollars ($14,000,000) of General Obligation School Bonds, Series 2012, of the Zachary Community School District No. 1, State of Louisiana, and providing for other matters in connection therewith.  Mr. Swilley seconded the motion.

ADOPTING A RESOLUTION INCURRING OF DEBT AND ISSUANCE OF $14,000,000 OF GENERAL OBLIGATION SCHOOL BONDS, SERIES 2012, OF ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHO0L DISTRICT NO. 1, STATE OF LOUISIANA, PRESCRIBING THE FORM, TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SAID BONDS; DESIGNATING THE DATE, DENOMINATION AND PLACE OF PAYMENT OF SAID BONDS; PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT THEROF IN PRINCIPAL AND INTERST; AND PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH

Mr. Mackie moved to approve a resolution authorizing the incurring of debt and issuance of Fourteen Million Dollars ($14,000,000) of General Obligation School Bonds, Series 2012, of Zachary Community School District No. 1, State of Louisiana; prescribing the form, terms and conditions of said Bonds; designating the date, denomination and place of payment of Bonds; designating the date, denomination and place of payment of said Bonds; providing for the payment thereof in principal and interest; and providing for other matters in connection therewith.  Mr. Swilley seconded the motion.
