ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES

September 6, 2013 Special Board Meeting

The Zachary Community Special School Board Meeting was held on September 6, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. at 3755 Church Street, Zachary, Louisiana.

The Invocation was led by Mr. Devillier.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Donnie Dykes.

ROLL CALL:  Mrs. Young,  Mr. Swilley, Mr. Owen, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Dykes.

                      4 ABSENT  (Mrs. Samuel, Mr. Mackie, Mrs. Rogers and Mr. Dayton)

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Mr. Dykes  moved to approve the minutes from the August 22, 2013 Board Meeting, August 22, 2013 Work Session, August 20, 2013 Facilities Committee, and September 3, 2013 Policy Committee. Mr. Owen seconded the motion.

There was no public comment.

VOTE:     5 YEAS    0 NAYS    4 ABSENT

ANNOUNCE DATE FOR ADOPTION OF MILLAGE RATES FOR 2013 TAXES

Mr. Gordon Robertson, Business Manager, told the board in order for the board to adopt the Millage Rate(s) at a Special Board Meeting on October 7, 2013, at 7:00 p.m., at the Zachary Community School Board Office, you have to announce the meeting in public and publish in our Official Journal.  Mr. Owen moved to announce that we will be having a Special Board Meeting on October 7, 2013 at 7:00 p.m., at Zachary Community School Board Office, to adopt the Millage Rates for 2013.  Mr. Smith seconded the motion.

There was no public comment.

VOTE:   5 YEAS   0 NAYS  4 ABSENT

Mrs. Gaynell Young announced that we will have a Special Board Meeting on October 7, 2013, at 7:00 p.m., at the Zachary Community School Board Office, to adopt the Millage Rates for 2013.

Mrs. Rogers arrived at 9:50 a.m.

Mr. Mackie arrived at 9:54 a.m.

Mr. Dykes  moved to adjourn.  Mr. Owen  seconded the motion.
