The Zachary Community School Board Meeting was held on November 13, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at 3755 Church Street, Zachary, Louisiana.
The Invocation was led by Mr. Dayton.

Mrs. Samuel moved to approve the Town Hall Meetings Minutes for October 20, 22, 27, 28, 2014. Mr. Swilley seconded the motion.

SUPERINTENDENT REPORT
Mr. Devillier reported that on Friday, November 14, 2014 the City of Zachary will be serving Gumbo Dinners at noon for $5.00. The proceeds will go to the Zachary Food Pantry. On November 18, 2015 the Community Celebration will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Zachary High School Gym. All schools will be closed November 24 - 28, 2014, for the Thanksgiving Holidays. The Zachary School Board Office will be closed November 26 - 28, 2014.
POINT OF ORDER
Mrs. Gaynell Young would like for everyone to come out on November 15, 2014 to the Red Chilli Cook - Off at Americana from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
SALES TAX
Mr. Owen moved to put the Sales Tax on the March 28, 2015 Special Election Ballot for the register voters to vote on. Mr. Swilley seconded the motion.

Mrs. Kimmell moved for the amount of the Sales Tax to be 1 Cent. Mr. Owen seconded the motion.

Mr. Owen moved to approve a resolution ordering and calling a special election to be held in the Zachary Community School System, in the Parish of East Baton Rouge, State of Louisiana, to authorize the levy of a sales and use tax therein; making application to the State Bond Commission in connection therewith; and providing for other matters in connection therewith.

2013-2014 AUDIT
Mike Schexnayder of Postlethwaite & Netterville, Inc. went over the 2013-2014 Annual Audit. He told the board that the Zachary School Board was in excellent financial and business shape.
Mr. Owen moved to approve the 2013-2014 Annual Audit Report. Mrs. Samuel seconded the motion.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Mr. Owen told the board that the Finance Committee met on November 11, 2014. The committee talked about the budget and sales tax.
