ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES
NOVEMBER 17, 2015
The Zachary Community School Board Meeting was held on November 17, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the school board office at 3755 Church Street, Zachary, Louisiana.
The Invocation was led by Mrs. Grice.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mrs. Vessel.
ROLL CALL: Mr. Owen, Mr. Hughes, Mrs. Grice, Mrs. Vessel Mrs. Watkins, and Mr. Dayton.
3 ABSENT – Mrs. Young, Mrs. Fuselier and Mrs. Kimmell
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Hughes moved to approve the minutes for the following meetings: 10-20-2015 Work Session, and 10-20--2015 Board Meeting. Mrs. Watkins seconded the motion.

SUPERINTENDENT REPORT
Mr. Devillier thanked everyone for coming. We will take a tour of Northwestern Middle School on Wednesday, November 18 at 10: 00 a.m. We will host the noon Rotary Club meeting on Thursday, November 19 at Zachary High School. The Zachary Community Schools took in 8, 682 pounds of food last week for the Zachary Food Pantry. Thanksgiving holidays will begin on November 23 – 27, 2015.
RECOGNITION OF NORTHWESTERN MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS – JUNIOR OLYMPIC PARTICIPANTS
The board recognized the Northwestern Middle School Students Junior Olympic Participants:
Orsciana Beard, Kension Tate and Sean Burrell. The board presented each one with a certificate.
BOARD MEETING DATES FOR 2016
Mr. Hughes moved to approve the Board Meeting Dates for 2016. Mrs. Vessel seconded the motion. There was no public comment. (See Attached)

Mr. Dayton moved to approve the following policies: File: GAK – Personnel Records, File: GAMF – Delete, File: GAMFA – Employee Communicable Diseases, File: IDCJ – Supplemental Educational Services, File: II – Testing Program, File: JBD – Student Absences and Excuses, File: JGCC – Student Communicable Disease, and File: JGCC – Student Communicable Disease, and File: JDD – Suspension. Mr. Hughes seconded the motion. (See Attached)
