ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES

SEPTEMBER 17, 2019

The Zachary Community School Board Meeting was held on September 17, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at 3755 Church Street, Zachary, Louisiana.

INVOCATION: Mr. Hughes

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Mr. Owen

ROLL CALL: Mrs. Watkins, Mrs. Young, Mrs. Westmoreland, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Owen, Mrs. Vessel, Mrs. Kimmell, Mr. Dayton.      1 ABSENT - Mr. Mackie - Mr. Mackie arrived at 6:35 p.m.    

HEARING FOR T.S.

Mr. Owen moved to go into Executive Session for T.S.  Mrs. Kimmell seconded the motion.

VOTE:  9 YEAS  0 NAYS  0 ABSENT

Mr. Dayton moved to return to Regular Session for T.S.  Mrs. Kimmell second the motion.

VOTE:   9 YEAS  0 NAYS  0 ABSENT

Mrs. Young made a motion to Modify to 1 Semester for TS.  Mrs. Vessel seconded the motion.

Mrs. Westmoreland made a motion to Substitute to Affirm.  Mrs. Kimmell seconded the motion. 

VOTE:  Mrs. Watkins – Nay, Mrs. Young – Nay, Mrs. Westmoreland – Yea, Mr. Hughes – Yea, Mr. Mackie – Nay, Mr. Owen – Yea, Mrs. Vessel – Nay, Mrs. Kimmell – Yea, Mr. Dayton – Nay

VOTE:  4 YEAS  5 NAYS  0 ABSENT

Vote to Modify to 1 Semester for T.S:  Mrs. Watkins – Yea, Mrs. Young – Yea, Mrs. Westmoreland – Yea, Mr. Hughes – Yea, Mr. Mackie – Yea, Mr. Owen – Yea, Mrs. Vessel – Yea, Mrs. Kimmell – Yea, Mr. Dayton – Yea

9 YEAS  0 NAYS  0 ABSENT

HEARING FOR B.W.

Mr. Owen moved to go in Executive Session for B.W.  Mrs. Young seconded the motion.

VOTE:   9 YEAS   0 NAYS   0 ABSENT

Mrs. Kimmell made the motion to go back to Regular Session for B.W.  Mr. Dayton seconded the motion.

VOTE:  9 YEAS  0 NAYS  0 ABSENT

Mrs. Young moved to Modify to 1 Semester and 20 hours of in School Service Hours for 2019 – 2020.

Mrs. Westmoreland made a motion to Substitute to Affirm.  No one seconded the motion.

Vote to Modify to 1 Semester and 20 Hours of in School Service Hours for 2019-2020 for B.W.
