ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES

The Zachary Community School Board Meeting was held on September 1, 2020 at 7:00pm, at the ZHS Visual & Performing Art Center, 4100 Bronco Lane, Zachary, Louisiana.

ROLL CALL: Mrs. Westmoreland, Mrs. Young, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Mackie, Mr. Owen, Dr. Lathon, Mrs. Kimmell, Mrs. Watkins, Mr. Dayton.  

 APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Mr. Mackie moved to approve the minutes for the August 4, 2020 Work Session and Board Meeting and August 6, 2020 Special Board Meeting.  Mr. Owen seconded the motion.

There was no public comment.

VOTE:    9 YEAS   0 NAYS   0 ABSENT

PUPIL PROGRESSION

Mrs. Mason updated the board on the 2020-2021 Pupil Progression Plan.  It will be on display  at the School Board Office and the East Baton Rouge Public Library in Zachary.  The board will vote on it at the October 6, 2020 Board Meeting.

AMENDMENT OF SCHOOL REOPENING PLAN

Mr. Owen moved to approve the amendment of School Reopening Plan to allow

PreK- 6^th grade students and students in grades 7 to 12 with cognitive disabilities who receive special services will return.  Mr. Dayton seconded the motion.

COMMITTEE REPORTS – Mr. Owen reported that the Resources Committee met tonight at

5:30 p.m.  (See Attached)

COMMITTEE MEETINGS – Technology Committee at 5:30 on October 6, 2020.

AGENDA ITEMS FOR OCTOBER 6, 2020 BOARD MEETING   

Pupil Progression Plan, Millage Rate(s), Assistance to schools in SW Louisiana.
