The Zachary Community School Board Meeting was held on April 20, 2021 at 7:00pm, at the ZHS Visual & Performing Arts Center, 4100 Bronco Lane, Zachary, Louisiana.

ROLL CALL: Mr. Mackie, Mrs. Young, Mrs. Westmoreland, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Owen, Dr. Lathon, Mrs. Kimmell, Mrs. Watkins, Mr. Dayton.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mrs. Kimmell moved to approve the minutes for March 2, 2021 Resources Committee, Work Session, Board Meeting. Mr. Owen seconded the motion.
There was no public comment.

RECOGNITION OF STUDENT OF THE YEAR
The board presented plaques and cookie cakes to the following Students of the Year: Zachary Early Learning Center – Breiley King, Northwestern Elementary – Curtis Bolton IV, Rollins Place Elementary – Charlton Lloyd, Zachary Elementary – Caleb Thompson, Copper Mill – Robert Bradford, Northwestern Middle – John Bradley, Zachary High School - Ashley Johnson.
RECOGNITION OF 2021 ALLSTATE SUGAR BOWL LHSAA BOYS BASKETBLL CLASS 5A CHAMPIONSHIP
The board presented certificates to the following students:
Brandon Rodgers, Kyree Davis, Jeremiah Fisher, Michael Quiett, Jalen Bolden, Connery Jackson, Gerren Hayes, Elijah Hill, Ja’tyraun James, Michael Hills, Jordan DeCuir, Kemon Beech
Mrs. Young left meeting at 7:53 pm
2021-2022 OFFICAL JOURNAL
Mr. Hughes moved to approve The Advocate as our 2021-2022 Official Journal. Mrs. Westmoreland seconded the motion. (See Attached)
