The Zachary Community School Board Meeting was held on November 9, 2021 at 7:00 pm, at the School Board Office, 3755 Church Street, Zachary, La.

Roll Call: Mr. Mackie, Mrs. Young, Mrs. Westmoreland, Mr. Hughes, Dr. Lathon, Mrs. Kimmell, Mrs. Watkins, Mr. Dayton

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Mrs. Kimmell moved to approve the minutes for October 5, 2021 Work Session, Board Meeting and November 3, 2021 Discipline Policy Review Committee Meeting. Mr. Hughes seconded the motion. There was no public comment.

VOTE: 8 YEAS O NAYS 1 ABSENT

2022 BOARD MEETING DATES

Mrs. Watkins moved to approve the 2022 Board Meeting Dates. Mr. Westmoreland seconded the motion. (See Attached)

RESOLUTION ORDERING AND CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE ZACHARY COMMUNITY  SCHOOL  SYSTEM, IN   THE PARISH OF EAST  BATON ROUGE, STATE  LOUISIANA ON SATURDAY, MARCH 26, 2022, TO AUTHORIZE  THE RENEWAL OF A SPECIAL  38.2  MILL TAX ON THE ASSESSED VALUATION OF ALL PROPERTY SUBJECT TO TAXATION THERIN FOR A PERIOD OF TEN (10) YEARS; MAKING APPLICATION TO THE STATE BOND COMMISSION FOR CONSENT AND AUTHORIZATION TO HOLD THE AFORESAID ELECTION; AND FURTHER PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS IN CONNECTION WITHIN.

Mr. Hughes moved to approve the Resolution.  Mr. Dayton seconded the motion.

FILE: JCDAE -  ELECTRONIC TELECOMMUNICATION DEVICES POLICY

Mrs. Westmoreland   moved to  approve File: JCDAE - Electronic Telecommunication Devices Policy with the clause added in "they may be suspended and possibly recommended for expulsion depending on the circumstances." Mr. Hughes seconded the motion. (See Attached)
