ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES

March 15, 2022

The Zachary Community School Board Meeting was held on March 15, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at 3755 Church Street, Zachary, Louisiana.

The Invocation was led by Mrs. Westmoreland.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mr. Owen.

ROLL CALL: Mr. Hughes, Mrs. Westmoreland, Mr. Owen, Dr. Lathon, Mrs. Watkins, Mr. Dayton.  3 ABSENT  - Mrs. Kimmell, Mrs. Young & Mr. Mackie

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Mrs. Westmoreland. moved to approve the minutes for February 1, 2022 Resources, Work Session and Board Meeting, February 10, 2022 Committee of the Whole and March 10, 2022 Committee of the Whole.  Mr. Owen seconded the motion.

There was no public comment.

RECOGNITION OF ZHS LHSAA 5A BOYS BASKETBALL STATE CHAMPIONS

The board presented certificates to the following ZHS LHSAAS 5 A Boys Basketball State Champion Players:  Brandon Rodgers, Kheiri Haynes, Kaleb Huggins, Michael Quiett, Jalen Bolden, Tyler Brown, Calvin McClinton, Xavier Ferguson, Skyler LeDoux, Broderick Brooks, Michael Hills, Jordan Decuir, Kemon Beech

RECOGNITON OF ZHS DIVISION 1 GIRLS INDOOR SHOT PUT STATE CHAMPION

 ZHS Division Girls Indoor Shot Put State Champion was won by Jaydan Jackson.  Jaydan was unable to attend tonight’s meeting.

RECOGNITON OF ZHS DIVISION 1 INDOOR 1600M RUN STATE CHAMPION

The board presented a certificate to the ZHS Division 1 Boys Indoor 1600M Run State Champion, Rhen Langley.

RETIREES/EMPLOYEES BENEFIT PLAN

Mrs. Westmoreland moved to approve the Retirees/Employees Benefit Plan.  Mr. Dayton seconded the motion.

There was no public comment.

VOTE:   6 YEAS   0 NAYS   3 ABSENT

PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE FOR FOOD SERVICE AND SUPPLY BIDS

Mrs. Westmoreland moved to give permission to advertise for Food Service and Supply Bids.  Mr. Owen seconded the motion.
