ZACHARY COMMUNITY SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES

November 1, 2022 Board Meeting

The Zachary Community School Board Meeting was held on November 1 ,2022 at 7:00 pm at 3755 Church Street, Zachary, Louisiana, 70791.

The Invocation was led by Mrs. Watkins.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Dr. Lathon.

Board Members Present:  Mr. Hughes, Mrs. Westmoreland, Mr. Mackie, Mr. Owen, Dr. Lathon, Mrs. Kimmell, Mrs. Watkins, Mr. Dayton   1 ABSENT – Mrs. Young     

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Mrs. Kimmell moved to approve the minutes for the October 4, 2022 Resources, Work Session, Board Meeting and October 17, 2022 Academics Committee Meeting.  Mrs. Westmoreland seconded the motion.

There was no public comment.

VOTE:    8 YEAS     0 NAYS    1 ABSENT

RECOGNITION OF ZHS CO-PRESIDENT GABREYELA GONZALEZ – 2022 EVERYDAY HERO YOUTH LEADERSHIP AWARD

The board recognized Gabreyel Gonzalez for receiving the 2022 Everyday Hero and Youth Leadership Award from Governor John Bel Edwards to Keep Louisiana Beautiful.

RECOGNITION OF RETIREE

The board recognized Trudy Johnson from Rollins Place Elementary,  and presented her with a plaque.

2023 BOARD MEETING DATES

Mrs. Westmoreland moved to approve the 2023 Board Meeting Dates.  Mrs. Kimmell seconded the motion.

There was no public comment.

VOTE:   8 YEAS   0 NAYS  0 ABSENT

SUPERINTENDENT EVALUATION RUBRIC

Mrs. Westmoreland moved to approve the Superintendent Evaluation Rubric.  Dr. Lathon seconded the motion.

There was no public comment.
